Land Information Memorandum (LIM)

A LIM provides information such as existing building and resource consents, District Plan zoning status, presence of flood zones or other hazards, and other information that you will find useful when looking at purchasing a property.

LIMs will generally take up to 10 working days from receipt of payment, and cost $172.00 including GST.  If you require an urgent LIM (within 2 working days), the fee is $261 including GST.  Information will be extracted from Council's existing records, no site inspection will be conducted.

IMPORTANT: LIMs disclose all relevant information known to the Kaikoura District Council about a property - and therefore do not contain information that is not known by this Council, such as any resource consents issued by Environment Canterbury.  If you are considering purchasing a property you may also wish to apply for an LIR (Land Information Report) from Environment Canterbury.
