Kaikoura is a Green Globe Certified Community: we are committed to sustaining our environment by managing and improving our impact and were one of the first Councils to adopt a Zero Waste Policy. Our website offers both tourist information for those who visit Kaikoura and community information for local people.
The Kaikoura District Plan is now fully operative, and was officially launched on Monday 23 June 2008. Copies are available in hard copy, on CD, or on this webpage.
