The Kaikoura District Council (or its sub-committees) administers and distributes a number of grants to the community.
District GrantsCouncil discretionary grants for local organisations, distributed annually as part of the Annual Plan process. |

Creative Communities FundFunding for community-based arts activities, which creates opportunities for local communities to engage with, and participate in, arts activities. |

George Low Trust FundThanks to a generous endowment from a former resident, funding is available to provide sports and recreational facilities for the youth of Kaikoura. |

SPARCFunding for rural travel assistance for sports clubs & school teams, to assist with travel expenses to local sporting competitions. |

Biodiversity FundFunding assistance for protection of biodiversity within Kaikoura. |
|
Community Initiatives FundFunding assistance for projects and events that benefit the social, cultural, economic or environmental wellbeing of the community. |

Events FundingApplications for events funding can be made to the Kaikoura District Council Tourism & Development Committee throughout the year. Please read the funding criteria first to check your event is eligible.
