FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR ART-RELATED PROJECTS
Applications are accepted for financial assistance to groups and individuals who wish to increase participation in the Arts, or increase the range and diversity of the Arts available to the community.
Amount: $7,090 per annum
Eligibility: Individuals or organisations may apply
Applications: Funding rounds are held four times a year, please check the Kaikoura Star to see if we are accepting applications at the moment.
Criteria: Eligible projects must: • have an arts or cultural focus • take place within the district and/or benefit that district • meet at least one of the three funding criteria • not have started before an application for funding is assessed • not have been funded by Creative New Zealand for the same purpose
Projects should meet one or more of these criteria: • increase participation in the arts • increase the range and diversity of the arts available to communities • enhance and strengthen the local arts sector
Examples of eligible activities include: • events or festivals • performances or exhibitions • seminars or workshops
Projects that have been funded in the past include photo and art exhibitions, children’s ‘artfest’, puppet show, violin tuition, ‘Wannabes’ talent quest, embroidery, pottery, sewing, weaving and cake decorating workshops, and the NZ Ballet performance.
