Psychiatric Consumers Trust

You don't have to face it alone.  Advocates can act in support, or speak on your behalf, when you need assistance dealing with medical professionals, WINZ, ACC, Child Youth and Family, landlords, etc.

This is a free and independant service to Kaikoura mental health consumers.  Phone our 0800 number for advice and information.  Representatives will also be visiting occasionally.  Please phone first.

Cancer Support

Sue Page Cancer Society Community Liaison

Available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, based in Cheviot, we are a community based voluntary organisation working throughout Canterbury and West Coast to minimise the impact of cancer on our community.

Community liaison is provided by health professionals who are available to discuss your particular needs.

We offer emotional support, practical assistance, links to support groups.  A team of trained volunteers work alongside staff to provide practical help.  Our services are free and confidential.

Child and Family Speciality Service

Whakatata House
Referral from GP, RTLB, Public Health Nurse, Special Education Service, CYFS.  Provides specialist assessment and treatment for children up to and including Year 8, with moderate to severe mental health or severe emotional/behavioural problems.
