The Oaro Water Supply is used for domestic purposes, supplied by a ground water bore, and water is treated using UV radiation.  There are currently no plans to upgrade this supply within the next ten years.

Properties connected to any of the rural water schemes, including Oaro, pay a flat charge per unit of water, and Oaro consumers also have a loan charge payable by those properties that did not opt to make a lump sum contribution.
