The Peketa Water Supply is used for domestic purposes, and the water is treated using cartridge filtration and UV radiation.

Currently this water supply suffers from contamination from surrounding farmland during periods of heavy rain.  Council had planned to upgrade the treatment and filtration systems on this supply during the 2005/2006 financial year, however this work has not yet been carried out.
