Tourism & Economic Development
Tourism has a major effect on the lifestyles we lead in Kaikoura. The Kaikoura District Council has a Tourism and Economic Development Committee to help manage the social and cultural impacts of tourism, support tourism development that has local socio-economic benefits, contribute to funding for district promotion, and develop and implement the Kaikoura Tourism Strategy.
