| Responsible Dog Owner fee | $29.00 per dog |
| Neutered or Spayed Dogs (vet certificate required) | $32.00 per dog |
| Menacing or Dangerous Dogs | $65.00 per dog |
| Working Dogs (three or more)* | $89.00 |
| Working Dogs (less than three)* | $29.00 per dog |
| New Owners of Unclaimed Dogs | $29.00 |

* Working Dogs are as defined in the Dog Control Act 1996
Late Fee Registration

Impoundment Fee

| PLUS a daily impoundment fee | $7.50 |
Licence Fee
A one-off license fee for keeping more than two dogs in a residential area (Kaikoura township, and the Oaro, Goose Bay, Peketa, Hapuku, Rakautara, Clarence, and Kekerengu villages) ... $37.50
