Sewerage
Kaikoura has only one publicly owned sewerage system; that serves the Kaikoura township itself. The system comprises pump stations, underground pipes, and a treatment and disposal system, consisting of a partially aerated lagoon and infiltration beds, providing additional treatment prior to discharge of waste to ground.
Fulton Hogan is the contractor responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the sewerage system. To report a problem, please phone (0800) 99-66-42.
