A new Public Rubbish Bin charge will fund 50% of the costs of providing public rubbish bins throughout the town and around the district, applied to commercial properties only, recognising that the need for these bins is often to provide a service for the customers of those businesses.
Who will pay the Public Rubbish Bin Charge?
All properties defined as Commercial (see the Commercial Rate).
What does the Public Rubbish Bin Charge pay for?
This charge covers 50% of the cost of emptying, cleaning and maintaining all of the public rubbish bins around the district, including the recycling stations.
The balance 50% of costs is funded through the Uniform Annual General Charge.
