PUBLIC NOTICE OF A PRIVATE PLAN CHANGE TO THE KAIKOURA DISTRICT PLAN
In accordance with the Clause 5 of the First Schedule of the Resource Management Act 1991, the Kaikoura Business Park 2021 Limited has prepared the following plan change to the Kaikoura District Plan:

The purpose of this plan change is to facilitate the rezoning of the site to a proposed new Light Industrial Zone. The proposed new zone will be incorporated into the Kaikoura District Plan as a new chapter, and will include issues, objectives, policies, methods, rules and consequential changes to the definitions, subdivision sections and appendices of the Kaikoura District Plan to support the introduction of the proposed new zone.
The subject site is 21.9Ha in area and is located on the corner of State Highway 1 and the Inland Kaikoura Road at 69 Inland Kaikoura Road. The site is legally described as Lot 2 DP 501321 and approved Lot 20 SU-2021-1765-00.

The closing date for submissions is 5pm 27th October 2023.
At a later date, all submissions received will be summarised and published. Further Submissions will then be invited, allowing any person or organisation to support or oppose any of the initial submissions. A Council hearing will then be arranged to consider all submissions, after which the Council will decide whether to reject or approve the Plan Change. Any submitter who is not satisfied with the Council’s decision may then appeal to the Environment Court.
