Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012
The Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 requires all alcohol licence applications to be publicly notified. This applies to applications for new On-licences, Off-licences and Club Licences and also to applications to renew existing licences.
Public Notification of applications are made either on this website, or in a newspaper that the Licensing Committee has nominated (the Kaikōura Star). Special Licences are not routinely publicly notified. Site notices will also appear on the premises.

Public Notice of Application for an ON Licence
James Boyd and Kate Lawson (Donegal House Limited), have made application to the Kaikoura District Licensing Committee for an On Licence in respect of the premises situated 258 Schoolhouse Road, RD1, Kaikouraknown as Donegal House
The general nature of business conducted (or to be conducted) under the licence is:

The days on which, and the hours during which liquor is (or is intended to) sold under the licence are:
Monday to Sunday from 7.00am to 2.00am (following day)
The application may be inspected during office hours at the office of the Kaikoura District Council Licensing Committee, C/O Council Offices, 34 Esplanade, Kaikoura.
Any person who is entitles to object and who wishes to object to the grant of the application may, not later than 15 working days after the date of the first publication of this notice; file a notice in writing of the objection with

No objection to the issue of a licence may be made in relation to a matter other that a matter specified in section 105(1) of the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012
No objection to the renewal of a licence may be made in relation to a matter other that a matter specified in section 131 of the Sale of Supply of Alcohol Act 2012

Objections may be made within 15 working days of publication of this notice
Objection period closes 14 June 2023
Objections
Anyone wishing to make an objection to an application must do so within 15 working days of the the date of publication of the notice.Working days do not include weekends, public holidays, or any day between 20 December and 15 January (inclusive).
