Community Swimming Pool Update

Kaikōura's only community pool closed in 2016 after it was damaged by the earthquake. The Kaikōura Community Charitable Trust is now leading a project to build a new indoor community pool over the next 4 years.

Health and Emergency Services

Most of the emergency services in Kaikōura are voluntary, with the exception of the Medical Centre, Police and Hospital. All of these services are looking for more volunteers, if you live in Kaikōura you may be able to help, please support your community and get involved.

How consents are inspected

The grant of a consent is conditional on enabling the building work to be inspected. When a building consent Official carries out building inspections, the goal is to ensure that the work being inspected complies with the consented documents.
