Who are the Art Society? The Kaikōura Arts Society encourages appreciation, training and exhibition of visual arts to the Kaikōura community. They do this through weekly informal art sessions, occasional workshops presented by visiting international artists on various techniques and styles, and displays of art in public places to encourage community awareness and appreciation of art.

Their annual exhibition is a major event where members can display and sell their artwork, and visitors can see what the society members have been doing for the past year.
