WEB Kyle Simpson presented tools from the Mayor to support his building apprenticeship

Mayor Craig Mackle would like to thank all the businesses that have taken part in the Mayor's Taskforce for Jobs (MTFJ) programme so far.

"We've hit the halfway mark of 25 people employed in full time roles since the Team at Te Hā o Mātauranga - Learning in Kaikōura started in late September finding employment for Youth, COVID-19 employment affected and ex NCTIR staff from our community."

"The following businesses have taken part so far and I look forward to more participating in the future - Auto & Marine, Pacific Jewels, Simes Cafe, Campbell Construction, Paperplus, Global Culture, Flynnie Fishing, Simon Mackle, Sicarios, Poppys, Why Not Cafe, Night & Day, Emporium Brewing, Kaikoura Star, Innovative Waste, Whale Watch and New World."

"I hope the community continues to support these businesses and all others and in buying local and supporting our town."
