One year on - Marking a year since the earthquakes
There are several community led events planned to mark one year on from the November 14 2016 earthquakes. The events run all through November and there's something for everyone.
This milestone is about coming together to recognise the loss and hardship caused by the magnitude 7.8 earthquake, acknowledge all the progress so far and show support as our District continues on its’ recovery journey.
Kaikoura District Council is helping coordinate and promote events organised by our community to mark this important milestone.
A short summary of the currently planned events are below including links to more information or for contacting organisers. If we've missed an event please get in touch and let us know
