Trash Fashion 2018
Update: 9 July - Trash Fashion another great success for 2018.
The Seaward Lions of Kaikōura very much appreciated the community support and the comments about The Recycled Trash Fashion Show 2018 has been excellent. “We have support in many ways by participants, schools, family, volunteers and local sponsors and Innovative Waste Kaikōura as our major sponsor supported by Environment Canterbury which make it an iconic Kaikōura Event. Plus support from the outlying areas of North Canterbury, Nelson, Picton and Blenheim. We are very fortunate to have some very talented people in all age groups with great innovations and stories behind the costumes.”

Trash Fashion Kaikōura has been going since 1999 and was run yearly until 2006. Organising the show is a massive undertaking, which is why it is now run bi-annually. The Lions Club of Seaward Kaikōura have been able to donate over $100,000 throughout the years. Organisations they have donated to include Oaro Volunteer Fire Brigade, St. John, Westpac Rescue Helicopter, Kaikōura Fire Brigade, Kaikōura Coastguard and Kaikōura Health Centre.
There are some out of town judges for this years Trash Fashion, so lets show them what cool, quirky and crazy creative things Kaikōura can make.
