Payment for dog registration opens on 1 July, we cannot accept payments before this date.
Payment is due by July 31 2021, after this date a 50% penalty will be applied.
You can fill out your dog registration forms before this time and we will send you a reminder once payment opens.
All dogs over the age of 3 months must be registered for the 2021/22 Dog Registration Year (runs from 1 July 2021 - 30 June 2022). The form must be completed once for each dog you wish to register.
- By submitting this form, you are confirming that you are the applicant, or that you are the authorised agent of that person.
- The information provided on this form will be kept by the Kaikōura District Council but may only be used for lawful official purposes and will not generally be available to the public.
- However, section 35 of the Dog Control Act 1996 allows the name and address of the owner of any specified dog to be made available to any person who has made a written application for that information. The territorial authority must be satisfied of the identity of that applicant and the information is required for one of a limited number of specified purposes, such as returning a lost dog to its owner or seeking compensation for damage.
