Here is today's recovery update for the Kaikōura community. As recovery continues, we will transition to a weekly update around 5pm on a Friday, ensuring residents can easily access the latest information about recovery efforts, available support and any important changes or developments.

🚧 Transport and Access
• Local Roads
- Bay Paddock Road – Open
- Old Beach Road – Open
- Inland Road – Open 4wd only
• State Highway One – Open but be prepared for stops, long waits and sudden closures, check NZTA Journey Planner before travel https://www.journeys.nzta.govt.nz/journey-planner

💧 Water Services
• The Kincaid water treatment plant continues to encounter operational problems due to the quality of the source water and is currently only functioning on an intermittent basis. It is therefore important that all Kincaid customers continue to limit their use of water as much as possible
• Peketa- Boil water notice remains in place
