COMMUNITY UPDATE: Mayoral Relief Fund and status update

A Mayoral Relief Fund has been set up to collect any donations to assist those directly affected by the fire and high wind events. These funds will be administered by the Mayor and held in a separate Council bank account. Please send all donations to 02-0856-0011698-008, Kaikoura District Council.

A local State of Emergency is anticipated to remain in place in the District over the long weekend as a precaution and will be reviewed again on Tuesday. Recovery tasks will continue over the weekend in line with previous communications.
