Local Water Done Well - December 2025 Update

The creation of a Water Services Council Controlled Organisation (WSCCO) by Hurunui and Kaikōura District Councils, is one step closer to a July 1 2026 start date, with the adoption of a Constitution and Shareholders’ Agreement.After draft documents were considered by the Local Water Done Well Reference Group in November, with workshops run in December to refine the documents, followed by legal review - both the Constitution and Shareholders’ Agreement were approved by each Council at their respective meetings on December 16 and 17.To read the full article visit https://www.kaikoura.govt.nz/footpaths-roads-water/water-services/local-waters-done-well
