As recovery continues, we're going to move to a daily mid-afternoon update providing the latest information about recovery efforts, available support and any important changes or developments in the last 24 hours.
Transport and Access
- Bay Paddock Road – Closed
- Old Beach Road – Closed
- Inland Road – Closed (access for Inland Road residents only; Inland Road in the Hurunui district is also closed to the public)
• State Highway One – Open but be prepared for stops, long waits and sudden closures, check NZTA Journey Planner before travel https://www.journeys.nzta.govt.nz/journey-planner

Water
TEMPORARY BOIL WATER NOTICE - Kincaid Water scheme.
• Kincaid boil water notice now in place
• The Kincaid water treatment plant continues to encounter operational problems due to the quality of the source water and is currently only functioning on an intermittent basis. It is therefore important that all Kincaid customers continue to limit their use of water as much as possible
• Peketa - Boil water notice remains in place
