Planned Water Supply Shut Down - Fernleigh

💧 Fernleigh Water Supply Notice

Kaikōura Hurunui Water Services (KHWS) advises Fernleigh residents of a planned water supply shutdown to allow essential maintenance on the scheme bore.

📅 Date: Wednesday, 28 October 2026⏰ Time: 8:00am - 5:00pm

During this time, the Fernleigh water supply will be temporarily turned off while maintenance is carried out to help ensure the ongoing reliability of the scheme.

✅ Before the shutdown: Please ensure all taps, hoses, and water-using appliances are turned off to help prevent flooding or water wastage when supply is restored. Please note that water may be reinstated at any stage during the maintenance period.

✅ When water is restored: Run a cold water tap for around 30 seconds, or until the flow is steady, to help clear any air from the pipework.

We appreciate your patience and understanding while this important work is completed to maintain a reliable water supply for the Fernleigh community.
