Friends of Pōhowera has been established as a way for the community to contribute to the ongoing development and care of Pōhowera Park.

The weather is holding up, and the recovery efforts are going strong 💪.The two houses that were red stickered have now been given the all clear ✅, so that's positive news.

Smoke testing for local pipes and drains

Smoke testing is a safe and effective method used to identify faults within the sewer network. Work will be performed in the Beach Road area July 28th and 29th

​DRONE WEED SPRAYING – Pōhowera Park - South Bay

Kaikōura District Council advises that drone weed spraying will be undertaken at Pōhowera Park during the period 19–22 July 2026, subject to suitable weather conditions.
