Kaikōura District Council would like to give a massive shout out to everyone who has come in to assist our team over the last week or so and who continue to support us as we move into recovery.

While the heavy rain has eased and floodwaters continue to recede, residents are being urged to stay alert for signs of landslides around their properties and across the district.

Flood-affected farmers are urged to complete a Rural Rapid Damage Assessment survey to help guide recovery.

Floodwaters can be contaminated with bugs that cause disease from ground surface septic tanks and sewerage systems which could make you and your whānau unwell.
