Council Annual Discretionary Fund
Supporting not-for-profit organisations who provide essential services in Kaikōura. A $100,000 fund which opens for applications in March each year for consideration at the April Council meeting.

George Low Trust Fund
The George Low Trust Fund was established as a bequest from Mr. George Low in 1974 to provide sports and recreational equipment for the youth of Kaikōura.
Kaikoura Community Initiatives Fund
The Kaikōura Community Initiatives Fund was set up to support & encourage projects that contribute to achieving annual objectives of the Council and Long Term Plans
Sport New Zealand Rural Travel Fund
The Sport NZ Rural Travel Fund (RTF) was established in 2003 by Sport New Zealand to provide assistance with travel costs for junior and youth sport teams in rural areas of New Zealand.

After you apply
Committee meetings are held after each funding round closes and all applications that meet the funding criteria are reviewed at these meetings. The grants administrator at Council will notify applicants of the outcome and next steps, including accountability and reporting requirements for successful applications.
