Final Representation Arrangements for the 2025 Elections (In accordance with Local Electoral Act 2001)

At the Council meeting on the 26th June 2024, the Council resolved that the following initial proposal to be put out for public consultation which ran from 4th July to 5th August 2024:

• That the Council comprise seven (7) Councillors and the Mayor, all elected at large (by the electors of the district as a whole);
• That the Council does not establish any wards
• That the Council does not establish any community boards

Submissions

The Council received zero (0) submissions on its initial proposal regarding the representation arrangements for the Council for the local elections to be held on 11 October 2025.

Council Representation

Submissions on the proposal were invited. As the Council received zero (0) submissions on its initial proposal it becomes the basis of election for the Kaikoura District Council for the local elections to be held on 11 October 2025.
